Deer of the Wind River Range
They survive where most would perish—witness the wild heart of Wyoming frozen in time
The snow crunches beneath your boots, the air biting at every exposed inch, yet there is a thrill that drives you forward—Wyoming in winter is as unforgiving as it is breathtaking. I layered every piece of clothing I owned, protected my fingers and lenses from frost, and pushed into the cold, all to witness a quiet miracle: deer moving gracefully across the icy plains, framed by the majestic Wind River Range, their breath misting in the pale morning light. You can almost feel the crisp, clean air, hear the crunch of snow under their hooves, and sense the pulse of life stubbornly thriving against the odds.
