This notebook was inspired by an early Wyoming morning, when the world felt hushed enough to hear God in the stillness.
I was on my way to one of my favorite places when I noticed movement along the road and pulled over, heart racing. There he was—an owl, perched on a roadside pole. Half of his body rested in the cool blue of night, the other warmed by the first gold of sunrise. Shadow and light, side by side. Night giving way to day.
For a brief moment, we locked eyes—eye level, no canopy above, no distance. Just the quiet unfolding of morning, creation in progress.
That moment reminded me why I step outside without expectations. I don’t go looking for perfection. I go to witness what God has made—and sometimes, if you’re still enough, wonder meets you where you stand.
