I love the sound of running water. We were hiking when I took this photo, and even before we could see the stream, we could hear it rushing over the rocks. This spot became our turning point, the place where the trail told us it was time to head back. Conor searched for a way to cross, determined to push forward, but the water had other plans. There was no way across.
