Sometimes, the most beautiful moments happen when you aren't looking for them.

That morning, I had gone out searching for the sunrise. On my way home, we spotted two moose crossing the road: a mother and her baby. I turned around, hoping they were still nearby.

And God surprised me.

There they were, surrounded by tall evergreen trees. It was the first time I'd photographed moose with a backdrop like that. The deep greens and soft, cloudy light made the whole scene look like something out of a fairy tale.

Cloudy days are some of my favorites for wildlife photography. The soft light brings out the details in their fur without harsh shadows.

I could have spent hours watching them, wondering about their little world and all the places those tiny legs had already taken the baby.

Before leaving, I did what I always do: waved goodbye and wished them a beautiful life. I drove away with a grateful heart, thanking Jesus for another little piece of His creation.
