The birds have finally arrived in Pinedale, bringing spring with them. To celebrate, I visited Boyd Skinner Park twice last week. On my first visit, I brought my friend Taylee along, hoping to find some Canada Geese—but they were nowhere to be seen.

Instead, we were treated to an incredible display of wildlife. Two blue herons flew low over the water, deer moved quietly through the trees, and crows filled the air with their calls. Squirrels raced across branches so quickly that capturing them on camera was a challenge, but that’s what makes wildlife photography so thrilling. It requires patience, much like waiting for your coffee to cool just enough to take that first sip.
