The Owl Between Night and Day
There’s something about early mornings that feels sacred—like the world is just beginning to whisper, and if you’re quiet enough, you can hear God in the stillness. 🙏
This morning, He painted the sky with gold and gave me a moment I’ll never forget. On my way to one of my favorite places, I caught a glimpse of movement by the road. I pulled over, heart racing. There he was—an owl, perched on a roadside pole, half in the cool blue of shadow, half bathed in the warmth of the rising sun.
The light was perfect. One side of his body was still in night, the other already touched by day. It felt like watching creation in progress. And for a brief moment, we locked eyes—eye level. No tree canopy. No lens from below. Just the two of us, caught in the quiet unfolding of morning.
I go outside without expectations. I simply want to witness what God has made, and this time, I got to feel that wonder right up close.
