This visit was an “elk day”—a gift that unfolded as we entered the park and were greeted by a serene herd. The sunrise painted the sky in golds and pinks, the crisp air carrying the scent of dew and pine, and the elk moved so close to the road that I could hear their gentle breathing. Cottonwood trees framed the scene like a natural cathedral, the morning light glimmering off their leaves and illuminating the young elk exploring beside their mothers.

Capturing this image required stillness and faith: hours of watching, waiting, and feeling the rhythm of nature, trusting that God would align everything perfectly. The patience paid off in a moment where the divine and the earthly converged—a scene that now holds a quiet power, a therapeutic pause for anyone who sees it.
