There are photographs that happen because you plan every detail, and then there are photographs that become unforgettable because you simply paid attention.
Living in Wyoming has taught me that the most meaningful wildlife and landscape photographs often come from slowing down long enough to notice what God has already placed in front of us. Whether it's a herd of pronghorn on the prairie, the brilliant colors of autumn, or the towering peaks of the Wind River Range from the air, every photograph tells a story that goes beyond what the camera captured.
These are three of those stories.

Pronghorn in the Quiet
Fine Art Print | Wyoming Wildlife Photography
Staying home that day didn't feel like missing out.
It felt like a gift.
Out here in Wyoming, sometimes all you have to do is step outside, slow down, and be still. No long drive. No hiking for miles. Just patience, a quiet morning, and the willingness to notice what's already around you.
The pronghorn stood peacefully in the distance, their coats catching the soft morning light as clouds drifted across the prairie. The air was cool and still, and for a moment everything seemed to slow down. I watched, waited, and let the scene unfold without trying to rush it.
Then the light found them.
It slipped through the clouds like a quiet blessing, washing over the valley and transforming an ordinary moment into something unforgettable.
That's why I photograph places like this.
Not just to capture an animal, but to preserve the feeling of being there—the stillness, the beauty, and the reminder that God is creating something beautiful even when we aren't looking for it.
Sometimes the greatest gift isn't finding something extraordinary.
Sometimes it's finally noticing what has been there all along.

When the Trees Let Go
Fine Art Print | 24 × 12 | Wyoming Fall Landscape Photography
As I photographed this landscape, the season was already changing.
The leaves had begun to fade, preparing to fall. Golden yellows mixed with greens painted the trees while the crisp autumn air reminded me that winter wasn't far away.
Somewhere beyond my frame, Conor was seeing the light changing.
I placed my camera on a tripod, attached a neutral-density filter, and set a 30-second exposure. After pressing the shutter, I stepped away. Even the smallest vibration could change the final image.
While the camera quietly captured the scene, I paused to experience it myself.
The cool breeze against my face.
The gentle movement of the trees.
The realization that this beautiful moment would never exist exactly like this again.
That is why I knew this photograph deserved to become something lasting.
The season was starting while I stood there making the image.
I dedicate every photograph to God and Jesus, thanking them for every blessing and asking the Holy Spirit to guide me as I create.
Every autumn, I feel like God whispers the same reminder through the changing trees:
Letting go doesn't mean something has gone wrong.
Sometimes change is simply the way He leads us into what comes next.

Above the Wind River Range
Fine Art Print | Wyoming Landscape Photography
Some views change the way you see a place forever.
One unforgettable day, my friend Nathan invited me to fly above Wyoming's Wind River Range. I had photographed these mountains many times from the ground, but seeing them from the air made them feel completely new.
The rugged peaks stretched endlessly in front of us.
Afternoon light drifted across the ridgelines while long shadows revealed details I had never noticed before.
The landscape felt so peaceful that, for a while, everything else disappeared.
I remember looking down and feeling incredibly small.
Grateful.
Completely overwhelmed by the beauty God had placed before me.
The light kept changing.
The shadows continued moving.
Every mile brought a different perspective.
I knew this view would only exist for a few fleeting moments.
That's why I pressed the shutter.
Photography allows me to preserve moments that creation itself never repeats. My hope is that when someone hangs this photograph in their home, they don't just see mountains.
I hope they feel wonder.
I hope they feel peace.
And most of all, I hope they are reminded of the greatness of the God who created them.
